O amigo Americano - The American friend

A Europa é um continente já muito velho e com poucas forças para lutar. A sua senioridade já vem de longe e nas duas últimas guerras mundiais foi o amigo americano mais jovem e possante que veio em nosso auxilio.

A "terceira guerra mundial" que está atingindo já a Europa (económica e financeiramente), tem de contar mais uma vez com a ajuda do Tio Sam. Atearam o fogo?! então terão de o apagar. Entretanto os lideres europeus vão atirando nas direcções erradas.

Uma das situações que sempre criou grande expectativa no golfe é a da perda da bola lançada a grande distância que irá cair algures em terreno de relva alta, de folhas caídas e outros obstáculos naturais.

Percebo agora: Se a bola for na direcção desejada será fácil de encontrar. Nos outros casos, perdem-se umas bolas e outras bolas perdidas por outrem se vão também encontrando.

I realize now: If the ball goes in the desired direction it will be easy to find .In other cases, you lose a few balls and other balls lost by others will also be encountering.

"Handicap" - Handicap

Nem todos têm a mesma capacidade de vencer, questões de "handicap".

Em vez de equacionar a eventual saída do Euro de alguns países do Sul, catalogados de "pigs", a Alemanha deveria impor-se para que a Comunidade Europeia montasse uma estratégia que levasse a que todos os países europeus aderissem ao euro, como por exemplo a Suíça!... Nações europeias unam-se, para não serem pulverizadas pelas economias emergentes (China, Índia, Rússia, Brasil). Isso é que seria uma boa tacada da Dona Angela.

Continuo a treinar o meu Golfe. Ainda não tenho "Handicap", e como tal não posso ir para o campo. Contudo já dei uma volta ao circuito para me inteirar do percurso, da sua beleza das suas dificuldades e dos obstáculos. Nunca gostei tanto do verde!...

Not everyone has the same ability to overcome, issues of "handicap."

European nations be unite, not to be sprayed by the emerging economies (China, India, Russia, Brazil). This is what would be a good shot of Fraw Angela.

I continue to train my Golf. I do not have "Handicap" yet and so I can't go to the field. However I walked around the circuit to acquaint myself about the course, its beauty, their difficulties and obstacles. I have never liked so much the green colour! ...

Desistir - To give up

Também não gostei da atitude meio agarotada como o primeiro ministro Britânico, David Cameron, se dirigiu ao Parlamento Europeu, e muito menos da posição assumida pelo Reino Unido em não querer colaborar com o plano de salvação europeia.

Um país fundador da CEE, não deveria desistir assim da luta, pensei eu na altura; pensei depois melhor e de facto outra não poderia ser a posição Inglesa. Um país com a dimensão, a todos os níveis relevante, deveria estar desde o início no centro das negociações cozinhadas entre Paris e Berlim! Foi talvez um aviso e a melhor maneira de evidenciarem a sua postura. Desistiram e fizeram bem, pelo menos para já!...

Eu também já estive para desistir do Golfe, dia após dia a evolução tem tido altos e baixos, a bola continua a ser difícil de atingir, parecendo cada vez mais pequena e desfocada. Porém ao ver outros jogando, mais velhos ou mais novos, prometi a mim mesmo que iria persistir no desafio. Se os outros conseguem eu terei de lá chegar.

Ainda não fui ao campo pois ainda não tenho "Handicap" mas também não sinto vontade, tal é o medo de fazer má figura ou até de atingir e magoar alguém. Mas não vou desistir!

One of the founding countries of the EEC, so should not give up the fight, I thought at the time, then thought better and that another position could not be English. A country as large, at all relevant levels, from the beginning should be central to the negotiations between Paris and Berlin cooked! If others can get there I have to.I have not been to the field as I did not have Handicap but do not feel comfortable, so is the fear of looking bad or even to reach and to hurt someone. But I will not give up!

Perto do Buraco - Near the Hole

Pior do que a crise é o medo que a palavra inspira. Uns fogem, outros ficam na expectativa, poucos investem. Não vou ficar parado, vou jogar Golfe ...

Lá vou continuando a praticar o "swing" no tapete mas já fui até ao "putting green", local onde se praticam as tacadas perto do buraco. Parecia mais fácil; aqui a erva está rapada mas o green é mais irregular do que se pensa; não é propriamente uma mesa de bilhar!... Apontar, tacar e ficar a ouvir a bola a cair no buraco!...

Mais um fim de tarde bem passado.

I am still practicing the golf swing on the carpet but I went to the putting green, where we practice the strokes near the hole. It seemed easier, here the grass is shaved but the green is more irregular than people think, is not exactly a pool table! ...  Point, hit and wait to hear the ball to fall into the hole!
Another evening well spent.

A Má Moeda - The Bad Coin

Os EE UU, desenharam a União Europeia, e só eles serão capazes  de aniquilar o Euro, bem como,  só eles terão interesse em que a moeda Europeia seja menos universal que o Dólar. Faltam economistas, realmente inovadores e merecedores  de um prémio Nobel, que apresentem soluções para o ciclo vicioso para onde nos levaram os economistas do passado. É urgente aparecer um "Einstein" da Gestão que descubra uma fórmula que prove que os credores só terão a ganhar com o perdão das dívidas que dia a dia asfixiam os povos... e fico-me por aqui para ir treinar Golfe.

Tenho prosseguido com as lições mas ainda não saí do tapete.

Swing e mais swing, lá vou acertando na bola (nem sempre), e com o ferro 6 uma certeza tenho: consigo  mandar a bola a menos de 150m!.. É necessário  memorizar os movimentos (memória medular), tal como  quando se aprende a conduzir automóvel.

Olhos na bola e braços para a frente !... Estou a gostar e sempre vou fazendo algum exercício.

I have been proceeding with the lessons but didn't left yet the mat.
Swing nothing more than swing. There I am able hitting the ball (not always), and with a 6 iron I'm sure: I can send the ball less than 150m!... It is necessary to memorize the movements (spinal memory), as when we learn how to drive a car.
Eyes on the ball and arms forward! ... I'm enjoying it and it is a way to do some exercise.

Primeira Lição de Golfe

A Alemanha está próspera, graças, sem dúvida, à sua mestria produtiva, mas também à custa do consumismo dos países periféricos, seus grandes clientes comercias, que foram compelidos a desinvestir na agricultura, nas pescas e em muitas indústrias tradicionais. Falta em Berlim um líder forte e capaz de unir a Europa e tornar esta região suficientemente forte para enfrentar todos os outros poderios actuais e emergentes… é urgente mandar a senhora Angela jogar golfe!... 

Tive a minha primeira lição de golfe!

Comprei uma luva para a mão esquerda, dizem que é para agarrar melhor o taco.

Aprendi alguns movimentos de aquecimento muscular, e sobre um tapete sintético, a imitar relva, lá tentei acertar na bola que para o efeito estava posta sobre um pequeno tubo de borracha.

Já sei a melhor maneira de pegar no taco (a isso chama-se pega ou “grip”); que a bola é posta encima de um pino chamado “tee”; e lá tentei acertar na bola e fazer com que a mesma voasse alguns metros… não foi fácil!...

Pernas afastadas, e ligeiramente flectidas pelos joelhos com estes apontados um ao outro, costas direitas dobradas pelas ancas e braços pendentes.

Rotação do taco para a direita (que eu não sou canhoto) até ficar a vareta paralela ao chão e rodar depois para a esquerda fazendo passar a cabeça do taco pela bola obrigando-a a levantar e voar a alguma distância, quando se consegue acertar nela… não é mesmo nada fácil!... mas foi bom.

Germany is thriving, thanks no doubt to his mastery of production, but also at the expense of consumerism of peripheral countries, their large commercial customers, who were compelled to divest in agriculture, fisheries and many traditional industries. In Berlin there are lack of a strong leader capable of uniting Europe and make the region strong enough to handle all other current and emerging power ... it is urgent to send frau Angela to play golf! ...

I had my first golf lesson!
I bought a glove to my left hand, they say it is important to better grab the club.
I learned a few moves for the muscles  heating, and on a synthetic carpet,  imitating grass, I tried to get the ball there which was put on a small rubber tube for that purpose.
I know the best way to handle the club (this is called the handle or grip), the ball is placed on top of a pin called tee, and there I tried to hit the ball and make it fly some meters ... was not easy! ...
Legs apart and knees pointing to each other and slightly bent, back straight bent by the hip and arms hanging.
Rotation of the club to the right (I'm not left-handed) until the rod is parallel to the ground and then run to left by increasing the club head to the ball forcing it to rise and fly some distance, when you can hit it ... is not it all easy! ... but it was good.

Se a Europa não avançar para uma verdadeira federação de estados, temo que o agora diálogo França/Alemanha irá resultar em grave conflito!… crise!... vou jogar golfe!

Fui hoje a um clube de Golfe saber como me iniciar. Muito simples, disseram-me, compre um conjunto de 10 lições, traga uns sapatos confortáveis, evite trazer calças de ganga e vista uma pólo. Já marquei a primeira lição. No início o clube empresta os materiais necessários, depois logo se verá.

If Europe does not move towards a true federation of states, I fear that the today dialogue France / Germany will become a serious conflict! ... crisis!.. I am going to play golf.

Today I went to a Golf club to know how do I start. Quite simply, they told me, buy a set of 10 lessons, bring confortable shoes, avoid bringing jeans and put on a pole shirt. I already booked the first lesson. To start the club lends the needed materials, then we'll see.
